How to remove Instagram Reels in Safari
Still supports Safari, Chrome, and Firefox.
Still removes Reels from instagram.com in Safari while leaving normal posts, messages, and pages available.
Important: this is for Safari, not the Instagram app
On iPhone and iPad, Safari extensions can change websites you open in Safari. They cannot change the native Instagram app. To use Still on mobile, open instagram.com in Safari; the same boundary applies to the YouTube, Facebook, and TikTok apps.
Enable Still in Safari
- Install Still from the App Store.
- On iPhone or iPad with iOS 18 or later, go to Settings → Apps → Safari → Extensions → Still. On iOS 17 or earlier, go to Settings → Safari → Extensions → Still.
- Turn on Still, then allow it on Instagram. On Mac, use Safari → Settings → Extensions.
- Open Still and check that Still and the Instagram setting are on. Reload instagram.com once.
Free without an account
Still removes YouTube Shorts, Instagram and Facebook Reels, and blocks the TikTok website for free. No account or purchase is needed. Optional sign-in enables free settings sync across supported surfaces.
If Reels are still visible
- Confirm that Still is enabled in Safari and allowed on Instagram.
- Confirm that Still and the Instagram setting are on.
- Close and reopen Safari, then reload instagram.com.
